24 Jun Music will fill the air

MENLO PARK – All weekend long you can hear a variety of genres from soothing jazz with the Doug Miller and Mike Keating Quintet, a local favorite, to high energy marimba music performed by Singing Wood. Both groups can be seen on the Main Stage in Fremont Park.

Singing Wood a favorite of locals in Santa Cruz is comprised of nine talented musicians who will WOW you with their polyrhythmic variety from the very simple to the extremely complex sounds of marimba music. They will be making their debut both Saturday and Sunday from 12pm – 6pm in Fremont Park.

To add to the rich musicality seen at this show enjoy our street performers as they serenade you with romantic Italian ballads from Heartstrings Music on guitar and mandolin, Celtic melodies by Aryeh Frankfurter performed on a harp and nyckelharpa, and Bob Culbertson, well known for his unique sounds as a touch guitarist on the Chapman Stick and his engaging music styles from jazz, folk, blues to classical.

Enjoy the fun at Connoisseurs’ Marketplace, Santa Cruz Avenue, July 18-19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., presented by the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce.
